The iPhone App for the Swift Explorer Mission, developed at the Swift Mission Operations Center at Penn State University.
Launched in November 2004, Swift is a mission to discover and follow-up Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), which are some of the brightest and most energetic events in the Universe. This app features the following:
Track Swift in real time. An interactive map shows where Swift is currently over the Earth, updated in real time.
Details of the most recently discovered GRBs, with explorable sky map, and links to X-ray and Optical images and light curves of the GRBs.
Real-time notifications when Swift detects a new GRB.
“Where is Swift pointing now?” - Get real time updates as to what targets Swift is observing right now.
